Flat welding flange should be cut into strips along the steel rolling direction, and then bended and welded into a circular ring shape. During the production of flat welded flange, it can not be directly processed into neck flange by steel plate, there should have certain production and processing methods.
2 Steel plate, used in the production of flat welded flange, shall have ultrasonic testing to ensure there is no hierarchical defect or quality and performance problems. With a certain quality inspection, the production and use of steel plate can be guaranteed to have no quality problems.
The forging of flat welding flange can be divided into free forging, upsetting, extrusion, forging, closed die forging, closed upsetting. Closed die forging and closed upsetting have high material utilization because of no flash. With a process or several processes may finish complex forgings. Because there is no flash, force area of forging will be reduced, as well as the load needed. However, you should pay attention not to restrict the blank completely, strictly control the volume of the blank and the relative position of the forging die. Measure the forging piece to reduce the wear. When in low temperature casting, forging of flat welded flange has small scale changes.
