Operational Norms of Forged Flanges

In the production of forged flanges, it is often necessary to heat the flange blank at high temperature and then forge it by a hammer. Through constant blows, the density of the flange blank is continuously increased. And then the flange is produced by shaping and drilling. There are certain risks in operating board drop hammers or air forging hammers when the flange is forged. Workers should be careful in the production process to prevent accidents.

Notes for board drop hammers:
1. Before operation, carefully check the components of the machine and see if the lubrication state is good.
2. During cold forging, do not use too much force, so as to avoid flying debris hurting people.
3. After the board drop hammer starts to operate, it can be manually operated  when the machine is running normally.
4. The temperature should be heated to 90-100 ℃. Do not operate the hammer when the temperature is too low.
5. Pay attention to surrounding workers to prevent them from being hurt.
6. Workers who operate the board drop hammer should have strict training and one year's experience on independent operation of the hammer, and part-time employees are not allowed to operate the hammer.

Precautions for air forging hammers:
1. Professionals who operate the air forging hammer should be familiar with its working principles and understand the structure of each part of the machine.
2. Check the application of screws and linkages regularly, stop using the machine immediately after they fail, and find the professional maintenance department for maintenance.
3. Shake the handle of the oil pump by hands before operating the air forging hammer, so that there is a proper oil quantity in each place where the oil is needed.
4. Carefully check whether the machine is in the initial state before use, and then operate it when it is running normally after 3 minutes.
5. After the air forging hammer is used continuously for a period of time, it needs to be temporarily stopped instead of overload operation.
6. Clean and maintain the machine regularly, keep the working environment clean, and change the engine oil and lubricant at regular intervals.
